Meet Our Founder

It was a matter of life and death.

This journey is personal.

I’ve known what it’s like to go from feeling miserable, unfulfilled and on the brink of ending it all to feeling energized, joyful and unstoppable. And you deserve the same.

Do you feel like you’re drowning? I’ve been there. Keep reading, because I promise it gets better.

Growing up, I was taught that the one sure path to wealth and happiness was to get a great education and work hard. As a first-generation immigrant, I watched my parents hustle to build a life for our family, and I followed their lead.

I studied relentlessly, earned a college degree, and landed a “good job” with a great salary. But making money wasn’t making me happy, and it didn’t take long for me to realize the corporate path wasn’t the right one for me. I knew there had to be another way. Determined to find it, my mom and I used our combined life’s savings to open a restaurant with the hope of changing our destiny.

I still believed in the formula I was taught: Work hard; wealth and happiness will follow.

For a while, it seemed to work. To the outside world, everything looked good. We were living the ‘American Dream’. My smile masked an ugly, nagging secret. I woke up most days feeling burnt out, unmotivated, and depressed. I felt broken inside.

I was being drowned with persistent negative thoughts on a daily basis that affected my performance as a business owner, as a daughter, as a friend. Deep down, I knew I deserved more—that I was destined for something greater. So I took a step back, and I decided to look within to discover the real source of my unfulfillment and despair.

It didn’t all happen overnight, but I started with small daily habits that could make the difference. I picked up long-distance running as my first outlet, which led me to yoga. For the first time in my entire life, I learned how to prioritize myself. I wasn’t just feeling like my old self; I was feeling like an even better version of myself than I had ever known. It felt like I’d finally found my stride.

Then something happened that rocked me fully awake, and revealed to me my true purpose. A week before my wedding, one of my best friends took her own life. Shocked and devastated, I decided to channel my grief productively. My survivor’s guilt wouldn’t let me rest until I had found a reason to justify my friend’s death, to explain why she wasn’t here.

No one should have to lose a friend the way I did.

No one should have to suffer in silence, but so many people do. It doesn’t have to be you.

Truthfully, I still don’t have all the answers, and I may never have them. What I do know is that my friend was selfless to a fault, even as she battled with low self-worth. She did everything for everyone else, and made do with whatever was left over for herself, which simply wasn’t enough.

Her death taught me that we only start to live for ourselves when we stop living for everyone else. It also renewed my will to live, and that sparked my desire to help others live their best lives, too.

On the other side of all the pain was my purpose: to inspire and empower women to live their dream lives, to build wealth without compromising their well-being. I created Fit To Profit, a transformational coaching practice that leverages my expertise in business management, cognitive science, holistic approaches to self-care, and mindset development for leaders just like you and me.

Our Values And Culture

Friendship

Our clients become our friends, and we are together for the long haul. We are brave, kind and honest, always.

Optimism

There’s no problem we can’t solve. There’s no adversity (seen or unseen, spoken or unspoken) that we cannot overcome. We’re relentless in achieving happiness and prosperity for all.

Freedom

No one gets free by working a job — no matter their salary or title. Self-determination is the foundation for a good life. Freedom comes when we achieve the ability to create wealth without sacrificing our well-being.

Valor

Self-love requires courage and compassion. We stare down internal and external challenges, taking no easy outs. We let nothing stand in the way of our goals. We relish the struggle, because we yearn for what’s on the other side.

Truth

We tell the truth to ourselves and others. By assessing our strengths and weaknesses honestly, we grow and improve. Integrity is a hallmark of our community.

Teamwork

No one succeeds all on their own. We challenge the belief that success for some must come at the expense of others. We create greater abundance through our collective efforts.
